Greg Sumner
Principal | Producer
Greg Sumner, a California native, grew up all over the state and called San Francisco home in 1992. Shortly after arriving in the Bay Area, he got an opportunity to be an extra in the film “Mrs. Doubtfire”. From that moment on he knew he’d found his passion, working with moving pictures. Mr. Sumner spent the next two years tirelessly working as a production assistant on everything from blockbuster movies to high budget television commercials, before transitioning into the role of assistant director and producer. With nearly 20 years of film and television production experience he was soon brought on to the production team that created the San Francisco Emmy award winning ABC television show “The View from the Bay” to manage all levels of production from makeup artists to on-camera high-profile talent. Soon after the show’s end, Greg founded the video production company Engine27. He’s created videos for clients such as: Walmart, Adobe, Levi Strauss & Co., Salesforce, and Xfinity. Engine 27 is recognized as a team of polished professionals with the ability to motivate diverse teams while delivering projects on time and under budget.
